Staying Cozy

Socks and boots have always been my thing. When the Fall/Winter rolls around I always plan my outfits around my shoe choices. I love pairing slouchy socks with a shorter ankle boot, or wearing a knee high sock with a higher boot, and just having it peek out of the top. I love the contrast in colors, and I love being able to accessorize, while staying cozy and warm!

Marshalls keeps me nice and cozy all fall long. These Vince Camuto booties are my new favorite pair and I am in love with the darker accent on the toe of the boot. I found everything I needed and bought a few pairs of socks to rock with my new boots. This cowl neck sweater also keeps me extremely warm so I am pretty sure i need this in a few colors too!

The Perfect Rainy Day

I love rainy days. I know that sounds strange, but there's something nice about being forced to stay inside and enjoy your home/family. This past weekend was a very special one for Ryan and I. We just got engaged and I couldn't be happier! The night before all of this took place, we did some shopping at Marshalls for some relaxing goodies for the weekend.

I wanted some delicious snacks, and some new candles for the house, but of course I found tons of other things while I was there. I got the cutest pair of rain boots, and the comfiest sweater I ended up wearing when we got engaged. Marshalls played a huge role in our engagement weekend, so this is one rainy weekend that I will NEVER forget.

Sometimes the universe gives us time to unwind, and even though the sun is shining really brightly this week, I really enjoyed my special rainy weekend in. It couldn't have been any more perfect.

A Winery Wedding Outfit

This weekend was the weekend of weddings! Ryan and I had two back to back weddings, and although the weekend tired us out, we had such amazing experiences at both. My favorite part of attending a wedding is figuring out what I am going to wear. From the dress, to the accessories, and the shoes.

Head to toe I am rocking everything from Marshalls. I love shopping there for all of my wedding outfit needs. You can go in, and in just a little bit of shopping time (or a lot of shopping time) you can find everything your heart desires. Personally, I like sticking to the basic colors for my dress. I love throwing in pops of color to the outfit with accessories and fun shoes.

Have you gone to any Summer weddings? If so, what color did you wear?

Summer, Where Did You Go?

Nothing screams summer like a skater dress, am I right? Loose fitting, comfortable, and perfect for a day out running errands. I truly cannot believe we are already finishing up our first week in August. I don't know where the time went, but I want it back! I'm holding on to whatever we have left and trying to enjoy it as much as I can.

I love how simple this dress is, but also how it can become a transitional piece. I like that I will be able to wear it in the fall with a sweater, and possibly tights. Ryan and I have two weddings coming up, so I went to Marshalls on a mission! I ended up getting this beautiful dress that I plan on wearing next weekend, and I can't wait to share my two wedding looks with you guys! Although the summer is almost at an end, I am hoping that the next few weeks move slowly so I can embrace what's left! Hope you all had a great week, and happy Thursday!

Project Fab Traveling Bag

If you guys haven't already heard, there is a #FabTravelingBag from Marshalls making its way all over the US from each project fab blogger to another. I couldn't wait to get my chance to style up the bag, and I knew it would be an awesome experience to follow the bag everywhere it's been thus far. If you'd like to follow along, you can check the geo-tagged pinterest board and also by searching #FabTravelingBag on instagram!

Nothing says New Jersey, like the Jersey shore. I haven't been to the beach ALL Summer, so this was such a treat for me. Ryan and I spent the day exploring the area and ended our beach day with ice cream. What's better than that? I usually don't pick out such neutral colors for myself, but it was nice carrying a bag whose style is a bit out of my comfort zone. I actually ended up falling in love with the shape and size of it, so my next mission is to find this exact bag for myself!

My favorite part about the bag was how easy it was to match with any outfit, but also how much I could fit into it. I brought my laptop to the beach, and my camera, and it carried everything with such ease. As a blogger- that's so important because we're always lugging everything around with us!

Want to follow the bag and see where it goes next? Make sure you keep up with our pinterest board!

High Waisted Love

Every time I think about vintage style, everything high waisted comes to mind. I have always been a huge fan of this style, not only because it's flattering, but also because crop tops look even cuter with high waisted shorts on.

Although my style is always changing and evolving, some things just always stay the same. I love incorporating the vintage look into my every day style, and I feel like this look is no different. From the bowler hat, to the shorts, to the tassels on my clutch, this outfit screams vintage!

I'm in the midst of packing for my upcoming trip to Monterey next week, so if anyone has any suggestions on places to go/things to see, please send them my way. I am so excited to go away with Ryan and finally enjoy some of the Summer. Hope you guys are having a great week. xoxo

Spring Touches In Home Decor

Don't you just love Spring? I love decorating my home and changing the things I buy with the transitioning seasons. I have been focusing a lot more on color lately, but still incorporating my vintage style. I'm also getting more plants and succulents which is super exciting because I love watching everything grow. Ryan makes sure that I keep fresh flowers around to brighten up some of the rooms in the house (and I love him for it).

I found these two milk glass vases at the thrift store near my house and fell in love! I love the way it makes my kitchen really come together with all of my vintage and thrifted pieces. Since I love vintage inspired art as well, I found this little number at Marshalls and knew I had to snatch it up. I love vintage typography signs and old bottles as well.

I find myself buying a lot more knick-knacks lately. I love having little jars and containers to store my jewelry and things. These two cute little guys were found at marshalls for under $5! I love the little hedgehog- he's my newest purchase.

How are you guys sprucing up your home for spring?

Packing For TXSC -- My Essentials

Packing is probably my least favorite activity. I'm sure you can all agree with me when I say it's pretty awful.  What's worse than actually packing you ask? UNPACKING! I planned to post this before I left for TXSC this past weekend but with the anxiety of flying coupled with my lack of time I didn't get a chance to. Here are some of my favorite things that I packed on my trip. Above you'll see a photo of all the goodies I acquired over the weekend, and some of the fun pins we got for attending different sessions throughout the camp. Also want to give a huge thank you to Marshalls for helping me pack the perfect items for my trip!

I tend to be one of those people who puts everything into little bags. Even if it doesn't need a bag, I find a way to put things into organized bunches. I found the leopard ticket & ID holder at Marshalls and it was perfect for me to keep myself organized while going through security and the checkpoints at the airport. These cute matching KC bags (also from Marshalls) carried my makeup and all of my toiletries. I try to pack as light as possible, but that usually goes awry.

Picking a smaller piece of luggage usually forces me to pack lightly. I definitely wasn't prepared for all of the rain that was happening in Texas, but my rain boots & umbrella were truly the best items I packed this year! Although I switched outfits as much as I could, my hats and light jackets because my best friends because A. Sweaty/Rainy Camp Hair ain't cute, and B. It was chilly!

It's also not a true camping experience without my Minnetonkas.  I wore these pretty much the whole trip! My only regret is not bringing enough warmer attire for Sunday. Sunday was so beautiful and warm, and of course that was my last full day in Texas! I have a lot more to talk about in the upcoming week, but I am going to leave you with this packing post for now! I had such a blast at camp, learned a lot about myself and where I want to take my blog in the next year. I am excited for the motivation it gave me, and I truly feel recharged to take my blog in a new direction!
