I wore this outfit while braving the cold temperatures of NYC last weekend for Lulus Style Studio. I met up with long time pal , Lauren and had a blast of course. I've attended this event three years in a row and always have a great time so I am so glad I went! The cold weather definitely put a slight damper on the travel but overall it wasn't too bad. Between trains, uber and taxis we made it there and back safe & sound. This fur vest and cozy jacket kept me pretty warm throughout my travels, and although I don't have any photos of the event, I am glad I didn't lug my huge camera around because that thing is HEAVY.

When I first started blogging I brought a lot more things with me to events. I also got more dressed up when I first started but nowadays, I keep it simple with a cozy outfit and comfortable heels! Dressing up is fun too, don't get me wrong but sometimes(especially when travel is concerned) comfort comes first!

LULUS STYLE STUDIO NYFW EVENT

This year I was lucky enough to attend the Lulus style studio during NYFW at 404 in New York City. I met up with my pal Kristen and we got to walk around the studio together, meet the vendors and take some awesome samples of some of their products. I always have a blast at the Lulus events, and I love attending because it's nice to see people you haven't seen in a while, plus you always get to hear about different companies and vendors that you otherwise would have never heard about, so it's a win-win situation!

I wish I took more pictures to show you guys everything but when I go to these events I get so caught up in what's going on that sometimes I forget to take enough photos. It was such a blast, and I already can't wait till next year!

Lulu*s NYFW Style Studio

                                        

Finally sharing my photos from the Lulu*s style studio event a few weeks ago in NYC for Fashion Week. I had such a blast meeting a lot of new people, seeing some old ones, and being styled by Cara (Lulu's) and Rachael (Nylon). I received an email a few days before the event saying I had been picked to receive a personal VIP styling session before the event. I was so excited, and it was really cool to be one of five bloggers who got to experience that. The clothing racks were marked off depending on what kind of style you have so of course I had to look through every single one (you can never be too sure.) I ended up picking a dress and sweater with different patterns, and even though I wasn't sure how it would look, the ladies assured me that mixing patterns is huge this season, so I trusted their judgement. Here's how I wore the dress this week in an outfit post.

Overall the party was a really great experience. We got to leave with bags of free stuff and goodies and I even got my makeup done by NYX at the event. Lauren got probably the coolest manicure I have ever seen in my life from Jamberry nails (see above) and some people even got these cute feather hair extensions. There was so much to do, and definitely was worth the freezing trip into NYC post NEMO. Thanks to Stephanie and the Lulu*s ladies for putting this all together, already can't wait till next year!

Lulu's Style Studio Event! NYFW

LuLu*s Event -- NYFW

Here are some photos from the Lulu's event last weekend. After the longest day ever I still went into the city, and tried to force it. Unfortunately I was feeling absolutely horrible, and couldn't fully enjoy the event this night,  which is definitely a bummer. BUT, you can't control these things, and I am still very happy I went, even though I couldn't stick it out the whole time. Did you guys go to the event? What was your favorite part?
