Oh My Shearling....

It's funny that I took these photos a few weeks ago, because it seems like the weeks are breezing by! I say this every year, but the closer it gets to the holidays the more stressed I feel. Until Christmas Eve hits, I am usually extremely busy (which I am) so it's hard to be excited, when there's so much going on around me. I am already making lists for all my loved ones, and I am starting to shop for the little ones too! Buying presents for kids is my favorite part of Christmas, and I can't wait to put smiles on their faces this year.

This year, I get to fully celebrate the holidays with my family, and my new family. Not that we weren't a family before, but now it's pretty official. I forget sometimes that we're getting married in less than six months (OMG), and when the reality hits me, I immediately think of all the things I haven't done yet. Wedding things are going well so far, the planning is harder to coordinate than I thought, but I am trying to enjoy this time in our lives, because as everyone says, this should be the most "exciting" time!

Staying warm and comfortable allows me to run from place to place, and I am so in love with the different facets of this outfit. From the colors, to the patterns, to the layering. I love it all! I like mixing neutrals, and this fall/winter has made me realize how much I love those basic colors in my wardrobe. I also just got a new coat, which I am SO excited about. Believe it or not I was rocking the same coat I got junior year of COLLEGE.I know- I'm old. I tend to get attached to things, and it still fits like a glove, so I never let it go. The buttons just recently started to fall off, so I think it's time to say goodbye.

Hope you guys enjoyed some rambling- and I hope you're having a great December so far!

How To Stay Stylish & Warm For The Game!

Everyone knows that football season is the craziest time of the year for me. Not only am I busy, but I work football Sundays at my family's establishment, so I get to see all of the fans and I get to be in the midst of everything going on. Since it's such a huge part of my life, (I have been working these Sundays for almost 8 years now!) I take it all very seriously and I love being a part of the action with so many different fans that come into the restaurant.

That being said , comfort is key. Me being a fashion lover, I always try and experiment between comfort, and chic outfits. I feel like you can easily balance out an outfit by wearing different colors that compliment each other, all while not sacrificing your comfort or style. These pants from NFL.com are so comfortable, and I am in love with the pattern.

For this outfit  I tried to center it all around the pants. I love how comfortable these pants are, and since the weather is a little on the chillier side, I threw on a long cardigan and comfy tee to bring it all together. This hat is awesome too, so comfortable and warm, and perfect for the upcoming holiday season. The colors are bright and fun, and I love that I can represent my team, all while staying warm and comfortable the whole time!

So how do you represent your home team? What's your favorite article of team clothing you rock on game day?

Wrapped In Buffalo Check

These days seem to be flying by lately, don't they? I find myself enjoying the little bits of time I find here and there and I try to enjoy the moment for what it is. This week is my birthday week and unfortunately I have come down with an awful cold that's probably due to my lack of self care for these past few months. Being busy can run you down, and then getting sick forces you to take a step back and take some time to rest.

I wore this outfit on Thanksgiving and was so comfortable the whole day. I love being able to wear pants and a top that aren't constricting, especially on days like Thanksgiving where eating is the main focus! I pretty much alternate these booties with every outfit I wear, and I can't get enough of them. Lately, my outfits focus on comfort, and flexibility. I love transitional items, and I rarely wear dresses anymore, which is so funny because a few years ago, all I DID was wear dresses.

Our styles tend to change, just like the seasons, and it's awesome to have this blog to be able to look back at when I wonder what I was into a year ago, or two years ago, etc. I look forward to sharing my annual birthday post with you guys tomorrow, and hope that everyone is having a great week!

First Home Must-Haves -- The Best Vacuum You'll Ever Need

When moving into a new place, one of the most important things  to have, is something that is going to help clean up all the messes. Prior to moving into the house we live in now, I grew up in a home with hardwood floors. I never really understood how to deal with carpet, or how dirty it can get. Between us, Oliver, and everyone coming in and out when they visit, I always try to make sure that our home is as clean as it can be.

I am so excited to be teaming up with Hoover today to talk about their Air cordless vacuum. Before going cordless, it never even crossed my mind that there would be such a lightweight vacuum that got the job done, and did it all so quickly! I can clean my house in half the time, I can pick up every piece of dust and fuzz in the carpet, all while doing so- cord free! You don't realize how convenient it is to go cordless, until you try it. Once you go cordless- you can't go back!

What I really love about it is how easy it is to push around the carpet, how it slides easily around turns, and how it fits under places like the couch, and tables! The battery charges, and last long, and there is a light that shines from the bottom of the vacuum so you can see exactly what you're doing- day or night. This line has 4 cordless cleaners—3 vacuums and a hard floor wet cleaner.

I truly feel like this vacuum is a game changer in the home. I've never felt so confident about my clean carpet, and overall clean feeling in the house.

Starbucks and My Love For Coffee : Part IV

Thanks to Starbucks, I got to enjoy a nice little picnic this fall. Anyone who knows me knows that I love a good pumpkin spiced latte just like every other girl out there. These little instant packs have been pretty much a lifesaver for me this season. I never thought instant coffee could taste so delicious, and honestly, it's just like going in the store and having one there! What I love about their instant coffees is how easy they are to carry around, and all you need is some hot water, and boom-you're ready!

For me, the Fall stands for a lot of things. It means the leaves changing, it means the temperatures are starting to change, it also means that it's getting closer to my birthday- and that gets me really excited! Coffee is such a huge part of my day to day life, and I honestly don't know where I would be without it.

When the Fall comes around I switch from iced coffee to hot on some days, and this Fall blend is just delicious. It's the perfect amount of hearty, with some fresh spice notes to really leave a nice flavor on your palate.

What are you drinking this Fall?

Sweet Summer Days

As soon as the sun starts setting, the air starts to feel a little bit cooler, and the lighting is simply perfect. I am enjoying the last few hours of sunlight as much as I can because I know that pretty soon, it'll be dark so much earlier! Although the summer seemed to fly by, I am excited for the Fall (as always) and can't wait for the chillier days where layering is necessary and you need a light coat and jeans to leave the house.

This past week has been a huge transitional week for me- but in the best way possible. There have been a lot of changes happening, and school is back in session which means FOOTBALL is back! I will be super busy for the next few months between work, blogging, and social events, but I couldn't be more excited about it. I am one of those people who works best when they are extremely busy, and it keeps me motivated to keep moving, and growing.

I hope you guys had a great weekend, and hopefully September is a great month for you!

FALL in Love With Fall Booties From DSW

Who doesn't love the Fall? When the season rolls in it's time for new shoes, some fancy layered clothing, and hats of course. Summer is great of course, but nothing beats the feeling the Fall gives you. There's something about the crispness in the air, and the changing colors of the leaves that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Fall for me means finding the perfect staples for my closet, and that of course means finding the perfect shoes. Today, I am teaming up with DSW to show you guys how I style a pair of my favorite booties.

When you find a good pair of shoes, you never want to take them off! It's important to find a pair that can be worn in a few different ways, because that's the beauty of a closet staple. I love these booties, and I love how versatile they are. I decided to dress them up into three looks. My first look is a comfortable "day" look. This is something I would wear just lounging around the house, or going out for coffee with some friends.

My second look is a look I would wear from day to night. It has a little bit of an edgier look, which  love! I usually throw a beanie on, and a moto jacket on a daily basis, so this look is a breeze. I don't usually wear heels so wedges are perfect for those days when you want to be comfortable all day long. I love being able to keep a pair of shoes on my feet all day without feeling tired.

My third and final look is the dressiest look of all. As seen in the outfit above, I love faux leather right now! This faux leather pencil skirt is great for date night , or a night out with my girlfriends. I layered a bodysuit & fancy bralette with a kimono to bring a little bit of color into the outfit. I love how the booties transitioned into any outfit I wore them with.

Which look is your favorite?

That's the best thing about shoes, they can be worn so many different ways, and every outfit makes them shine in a different way. If you didn't already hear, October 25th is National Shoe Lover Day! Make sure you stop into your nearest DSW to celebrate this awesome day, and treat yourself.

Who’s ready for October 25? It’s National #ShoeLover Day, and we’re partying it up with DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse. Tell us why you love shoes and how you’re going to let loose on the big day!

Gigham & Fur

This fall I find myself obsessed with fur. I recently got two fur vests and I have a fur coat from last fall that I can't wait to wear out. It's been weird weather around these parts, cycling between hot and cold days so it's pretty hard to stay consistent with outfit choices. I usually wait for morning to pass before deciding what's going to stay on, and what is going to change. I saw a gingham/fur combo on instagram and fell in love with the idea so I decided to put my own spin on it.

I am also loving any kind of faux leather patchwork or paneling on clothes this season. These leggings are my new favorite, and the leather panel on the side makes them dressy enough to wear out! I am ready to start layering more often and this vest is great for that. The ombre coloring makes it match different patterns and colors alike.

Hope you guys have a great week, and make sure you're staying inspired! xo
