BEST POSTS OF 2014!

Without further adieu, here are my favorite posts of 2014 in no particular order!

 Part 1 // Part 2 Galentine's Day With Lauren & Lulus

Sometimes day to day I feel like I get nothing accomplished (blog wise) and then I look back through my archives to create a post recapping my year and I remember why I do this. I love having this diary to look back on throughout the past 4 years+ and it gives me motivation to keep going. When things get frustrating or I want to quit, I just remember how far I have come, and how much this online community means to me. I love writing and sharing a piece of my life that is extremely public. It has brought me so many places, and has bridged so many connections, so for that I am forever grateful. Here's to another year of happiness, outfits and recipes! I love you all so much, and thank you so much for reading, and supporting everything I do.

Here's to 2015 everyone!

Lulus Party Perfect For The New Year

When the New Year is upon us, I can't help but think of the perfect dress for the perfect occasion. I was never one to go out and go crazy, but the past few years I have had a blast going out dancing with my friends. I love the idea of a classy black bodycon dress, and lately I have been obsessed with back details in dresses. This dress is perfect for a night out on the town, and i love how it accentuates my waistline perfectly.

Give Me Hope For The Night

We made it. The end of another long, yet quick year. In some ways I think back to a year ago, and not a lot has changed..Christmas still crept up on me this year, I still love writing this blog, and I definitely still have the same passions I had a year ago. Although a lot of the same things have lingered in my life, a lot has changed as well. It takes a year sometimes to look back and reflect to realize how far you've really come. A year ago I hadn't yet applied to FIT, I was still working on the ins and outs of this blog, and although I seemed happy and content, there was a lot going on that went unseen in the background; as there always is.

The great thing about time is the fact that it helps with healing, it helps you grow, and at the same time allows you to reflect on your growth. I am proud of myself this year. There were definitely some instances where I didn't feel like myself, but luckily the universe always has a way of working things out, and I can say that I feel like a new person.

What did I learn about myself this year? I am not scared to put myself out there, I am extremely proud of this blog and my courage to jump back into school and a completely different career. Struggles provide you with the strength to change things, and make a change in your own life, and every single thing that I have been through has brought me this far. It was a great year for many reasons, and I have a feeling 2013 will even better. I wish you guys a Happy New Year, and I hope you spend your last few minutes of 2012 with people who make you laugh and make you feel like you're the cat's pajamas. Cause guess what? YOU'RE IT!

My 2012 Post (a little late)

So I want you all to know that I struggled with writing this post for a few days now..I wrote, erased, rewrote, drafted....and I just hated everything I came up with...I didn't want to just put up pictures of outfits and say "hey, here's my year in outfit posts" because in reality it's been a lot more than that to me. This year kicked my ass. It showed me that not everything is going to be how I expect it to be...and that in instances like that, changes and drastic steps need to be taken. Like many of you I struggled with certain things...I struggled finding time to do things I needed to do, or wanted to do...I felt empty with a job that I thought I wanted..and in the end I figured out what I really wanted to do. This year was full of amazing experiences, and some not-so-good ones too...but if I have learned anything is that it's okay. I wanted to pick a resolution that truly meant something to me, not something superficial or cliche just because. My new years resolution is to stay in the present. This means so much to me, for many different reasons. I find myself constantly trying to do 40 things at once, and it becomes so overwhelming, that it takes the fun out of everything. How can you enjoy -right now- if you're thinking about what you have to do tomorrow, or the next day. All anyone can do , or control...is the current moment..and it's important to fully live & be in that moment, because it's the only constant we have. It's extremely important, and at times I can say that I lost sight of that. This is why I love the New Year, it gives us a reason to reevaluate and realize that changes need to be made...I am very excited for the upcoming months, I still have a lot of news to share when the time is right...I hope you all have a healthy and happy 2012, cheers!

Here are some highlights from my year of posts:

And of course...the beautiful videos my boyfriend directed & produced
I love being able to look back at these..they are perfect, and I am extremely grateful
