Simple Pastures

If someone had asked me years ago where I wanted to spend most of my time, I probably would have told them that my dream was to one day own a farm. I love the idea of land as far as the eye can see, horses grazing and lots of animals everywhere. Fast forward to reality, and I live nowhere near any kind of farmland, but it's something that tends to creep up in my mind often. One day when I own my own house, I can't wait to have a big backyard that my kids can play in, and maybe if I'm lucky, I can go horseback riding every now and again, and maybe even own some chickens. Dreams tend to change as we get older. They're sometimes still attainable, but they tend to mold with you as you grow into your future self.

One thing I know for sure? I feel much more at peace when I spend some time outside with the sun shining down on my face. It's nice to just breathe fresh air in and relax, especially when you have a lot on your mind. Nature is one of those things that is right at your finger tips, it's free, and you can do as much or as little as you want. It's all in your hands and every single day can seem like a adventure waiting to unfold.
