I've Got The Royal Blues

Something has gotten into the weather around here, because yesterday and today, I barely needed a coat!  It's a little bit fun and exciting, but a little bit worrisome at the same time. It is after all December, and last week I was bundled up like nobody's business. I took a few days off from work to enjoy my birthday week, and today my Mom and I got our hair done together at our favorite salon near my old university. It was nice putting the windows down and really enjoying the day, we don't get to spend that much time together so any time I do get to spend with her, is my favorite.

Overall I had an awesome birthday. The love was definitely flooding in and it was so nice hearing from friends and family I haven't seen in a while. Birthdays are awesome reminders of how lucky I am to have such great people in my life. It made me feel like a million dollars! Since I was in Lake George this past weekend my family is making dinner for me this weekend and we're celebrating with steak and ice cream cake(crunchies galore).

I got to wear my new skirt from Sugarlips today without any tights! It was perfect for this weather, long and short at the same time. I also don't own many blue items in my closet, so it's nice to boost it up with some color. I got these booties as a birthday gift from my Mom, and I love how rugged yet chic they look. Call me a little crazy for wearing all of these items together but I love mixing and matching patterns and colors. I am definitely way more experimental now that I ever have been, and blogging has definitely helped bring that out.
