As most of you know my 25th birthday was this past weekend, and Alex and I had plans on Friday to have our date night in NYC. We had a great time having dinner at Boqueria, but unfortunately the show we saw was not very good...It was actually pretty disappointing how BAD it was. Being a huge RENT fan normally, I was sad to see they changed up most of the songs, the cast was cut in half, and the singers didn't seem to have the same effect on me as the original cast, or even the cast of the original Broadway show..Regardless, we had fun being together and enjoying NYC. Saturday came around the day of my actual birthday and I was so confused because most of my friends kept saying they had plans, people weren't really responding to my messages, and everyone claimed to be helping family members...I have to admit I did get upset and it seemed like no one really care about my birthday..I pouted a bit, and then eventually Alex suggested we go out and take some photos in the park..I got all dressed up and we went...Little did I know he was killing time so my family could plan a surprise party for me with a bunch of my friends & family!

My sister asked me to pick up some groceries for her at the business that our parents own, and when I walked in everyone was there, waiting for me cheering and screaming surprise! It was really sweet. Since a lot of my friends live a little far, and have busy schedules I hardly ever see them all in one place, and they were all there...It was one of the best feelings I have ever felt. I really enjoyed myself, partied till I couldn't party anymore and then came home and slept it off. We really had a great time and I would do it every weekend if I could :) I will post more of those pictures in my next post, since there are so many, but here's one to tide you over for now :)

  5. Surprise parties are hard to do, kudos to your family for keeping you in the dark! I threw one for my parent's anniversary a few weeks ago. It was like pulling teeth to get them to actually show up.
Love the colored tights by the way!
