Exploring Big Sur

Hey guys! Finally made it to Monterey, and it's so beautiful here I don't think we're ever going to leave! Although the weather isn't as sunny as I would like, the sights are beautiful enough that you pretty much forget the chilliness. Yesterday we explored Big Sur, and did the 17 mile drive. I'll be sharing more photos next week once I return from my trip, but wanted to update as much as I could. This outfit kept me comfortable all day- without the sweater it would have been a little cold- but adding it was just right.

We pretty much drove all day exploring and looking at everything. We got to see the Bixby bridge, a little bit of Carmel, and we took the 17 mile drive (which is pretty much a drive through a neighborhood of million dollar estates).

Today we're adventuring through Carmel, and possibly some other spots along the way. Tomorrow Ryan starts his race so we will probably spend most of our morning at the track. If you guys have any tips on things to do/places to see (or even food recommendations!) please share, we're open to anything and everything!

Hope you guys are having a great week! Can't wait to share the rest of my photos of the trip! xoxo

Rooftop Fireworks.

The final edition to my posts from San Francisco is the photos from the fourth of July. Our friend Chris has a beautiful apartment in North Beach and his view is unbelievable! Instead of being crowded in at the wharf we decided to watch the fireworks from his rooftop, and along with all of the neighbors we all enjoyed the best view in the whole city! I also threw in some other pictures from the trip that didn't quite fit a specific day or theme...Hope you enjoyed these posts! Tomorrow I will be posting an awesome giveaway, so stay tuned!

The Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito

As I promised yesterday here are our photos from biking the Golden Gate Bridge into Sausalito. We rented bikes right on fisherman's wharf and rode all the way through to Sausalito. It was so much fun, but so many people were walking because of the holiday so it was tough to maneuver around everyone. Overall we had such a great time, and enjoyed the amazing views we got from each angle. We also got to take the ride with Alex's friend Chris who recently moved to San Francisco a few months ago. We followed him and used him as our guide most of the way. We also got to spend some time in Sausalito having lunch & drinks at a taco place we found right on the main street. In our minds we would have liked to take the ferry back to the wharf but unfortunately the line was extremely long and we probably wouldn't have made it on the ferry at all..We ended up riding the six miles back to the wharf instead, and boy was it a workout (especially after tons of mexican food & sangria)..but WE MADE IT! and it was a great experience overall, even though I complained the whole wobbly way back to SF!

I look like a parakeet with my helmet!

Tomorrow I will be posting our Fourth of July!
