Fast Cars, Puppies, AMERICA!

I remember at one point being so excited to fly, and more importantly, so excited to pack my bags. This couldn't be further from the truth now! I absolutely hate being on a plane, and I absolutely hate packing my belongings into one tiny little suitcase. The same dramatic thoughts go through my head - "What did I forget?" , and "What if I need those shoes I haven't worn in 4 years?" And the list goes on and on. I think what I have learned in my years of traveling, is to keep it simple.

I actually end up never wearing half of the things I bring, and most of the time I stay pretty comfortable in my outfits. I think what's most important- is accessories. The right bag, earrings, and hair accessories could really change your whole look!

You're probably wondering why I'm writing a post about traveling and that's because I will be in Monterey next week! I am so excited to visit California again for the (4th time!) It's one of my favorite places to visit, and I can't wait to take in all of the beauty and historic sites.

This shirt screams MERICA'. (Even though the word America is the one tucked into the skirt and hiding) The "fast cars" line is pretty appropriate since we're going to Monterey for a race. For those of you who don't know, my boyfriend Ryan and one of his best friends built a race car, and they race around the country. They spend hours upon hours making sure everything is ready to go- and this race is their biggest one yet! It's been really interesting to see someone fully engaged in a passion that is so different than my own. I am excited to follow them on this journey and learn more about what they do, and why they love it so much. I also can't wait to share these photos with you guys!
