Let's Talk Hair

I get asked a lot of questions about my hair and what products I use so I figured it'd be a good idea to do a post about some of the products that are my favorite. Bed head is definitely one of my favorite brands for shampoo/conditioners but also sprays and serums. I really like the scent of everything they have to offer and it leaves my hair feeling nice and renewed. As far as other products go, I usually put a serum in my hair right when I get out of the shower. My hair tends to dry up quickly so if I don't it stays dry on the ends which doesn't look good at all. I started using this Oscar Blandi daily silk serum which is great for ends and giving your hair that overall shine.

Something I also started using that I didn't before is a before spray for heat products. Any time you curl/blowdry/flat iron your hair you're causing it to dry out even more. It's important to protect the hair with a spray that keeps your hair moisturized and not dry. Not Your Mother's Beat The Heat spray is great because you can spray it on air dried hair, and it doesn't make your hair greasy or gross at all!

As far as hairsprays go, I love bed head "masterpiece" & chi "helmet head." These are the only two hairsprays that don't cause that funky chunky thing that most hairsprays too, the hold is enough to keep them in place but not make me look like I'm going to prom.

All of these products can be found at Marshall's which is great when you're on a budget. Hair products can be very costly so any way to limit my monthly hair bills is definitely a plus. I have been using most of these products for years so I stand by them in saying that they truly work, and provide the best results for me personally.

Do you guys have any go-to products? If so , what are some of your favorites ?

Disclosure: I have received free products or value from Marshalls or The TJX Companies, Inc. in connection with my affiliation with Marshalls Project FAB.

  1. Love your hair. I was wondering how often you wash your hair and what shampoos etc you use. I use handmade (i buy it from a neighbor) shampoo bars and an all natural conditioner, so I try to use natural stuff with zero to no chemicals. Do you feel like any of these products will cause issues with your hair long term? -natalia

  3. I use mostly Redken products. Shampoo, conditioner, and the swirl gel. I often switch from that to Tigi. Because my hair is super curly, I'm terrified to use anything else.

  5. I keep meaning to try bed head, I've heard good things! Your lovely hair is making me want a fringe even more, which will probably end up being a bad idea since my hair is curly and massive!

  8. Your hair looks amazing! I never tried Tigi before but heard it's great. I am using something from Organix now since it's the only brand that is not giving me an allergy :P

  9. Gorgeous hair, woman! I'd kill for locks like yours.
I just recently chopped my hair, and I've been LOVING:
-ShortSexyHair - "Slept In" styling cream
    -Chi Infra Texture hairspray.
Plus I like to switch up different root lifting products.
