Sweet Disposition

Hey guys! How was everyone's weekend? Mine was extremely relaxing and a whole lot of nothing took place, which is my favorite. You forget how great it is to do nothing when you're constantly running from place to place all the time. School was back in session this week (for the most part) so I had a lot of catching up to do, lots of emails to take care of and TONS of homework. The weather also seems to be looking up a little which is always nice considering the craziness that's been going on around the NJ/NY area. The snow is already melted and we're ready for the calm after the storm. Even though I spent most of the weekend laying low I still love getting dressed up even when there isn't much going on. When I get dressed I usually feel 1,000 times better, I am not one for slumming around all day in sweats and a tee, that usually only happens at night or when I'm sick.

I was so excited to get this dress in the mail from PB&J Boutique. It's the perfect dress for a casual day, but is dressy enough that you feel fancy after putting it on. It fits like a glove, and I love the apple pattern and the buttons on the cap sleeves. The boutique offers different items split up by designer, and this dress is made by Knitted Dove. Check out their shop if you get a chance, there are a lot of cute fall dresses and sweaters that I love.

I am not really a fan of the cold weather but I am trying to embrace it as much as possible. When it gets too cold it's my "shutting down" period. Or at least that's what I call it. I don't really like being outside much and I just love being cozied up in a blanket somewhere. I don't handle cold well, and I hate feeling like a stuffed turkey with all my layers on, but unfortunately that's reality. I always think I look like the little boy from A Christmas Story, "I can't put my arms down!!" (You're welcome for that video clip, what a classic.)

Lots to do today, I am heading into the city early to meet with my advisor about scheduling classes for next semester, and then I have a midterm and two other classes to attend. I am hoping it will be an early day, NJ transit has been crazy lately and I am so sick of bum rushing the gates to make it on the train. Being a commuter is usually relaxing but lately it's been insane! Hope you guys have a pleasant Monday, and I hope you had an awesome weekend!

  1. Such a sweet dress! I don't like sitting around the house in lazy clothes either, I feel way more productive when I'm ready for the day. Even if my day is spent inside!

  9. Love your boots! I too feel better when I get an outfit together. If I spend all day in my pajamas, I definitely feel unproductive.
