HI! As I write this post it is now 2am on Monday morning. I am exhausted and winding down from a long day of work, and I couldn't wait to format this post and put it up. The weekend finally came to an end, as it always does and I am feeling tired, but extremely happy and satisfied at the same time. I spent most of Saturday morning with my friend Sabrina who took these photos. We've been wanting to do this for a while so we took some pictures at a nearby park and then we had a nice lunch to follow it all up. She's going to be working with me on some things for the blog, so I'm sure it's not the last time you'll hear me speak of her! (more on that later).

I really had such a great weekend. Every weekend seems to be great lately. I am finding the time to fit in little things that make the rest of the week seem like a breeze. I finally got to watch Moonrise Kingdom and I know I am really late on this, but it was AWESOME. I loved everything about it. I love the outfits, the plot, the characters, and even how weird it was. If you haven't seen it (which I am sure you have) you should watch it. I can't remember the last time I relaxed and watched a movie, it's definitely been too long, and it was perfect to unwind.

I can't believe today is the first of October already. I am loving this weather, and loving everything about this season. This outfit was one of the first times I got to wear colored tights recently. I missed wearing them, and I am more than ready to bring them back. I got this dress not too long ago, and instantly loved the cut and the collars. You get a peter pan collar in the front AND the back, plus the cut out in the back is pretty cool too. This outfit is just a peek of what's to come from my closet this season. I have a lot of colors and patterns I can't wait to combine, and I feel like my style is changing more now than ever, but in a good way. I look back at other outfit posts from a year ago, and definitely notice significant changes in my choices. I am more likely now to try new things that I normally wouldn't, and usually I end up loving what I come up with. That's the great thing about style, it's always changing, and always reflecting a certain time in your life. It's fun to look back on all of the things I've worn (some I am not so crazy about) but it's still interesting regardless. It's a constantly evolving process, and now that I am learning more about fashion in school, I feel like I can appreciate all of these little things that affect my personal style.

Anyway. I hope you all had a great weekend, HAPPY OCTOBER!

I know what you mean about your style evolving - I've always felt like each new season was time to try new things with my clothing. Too bad it's 80 degrees today and tomorrow! Too warm to get into fall too much.

I am embarrassed to say that I still haven't seen Moonrise Kingdom. Buuut things have just been busy and money's been tight. I'll get to it soon but at least I know it's as good as I thought it was when I first saw the previews. I've heard nothing but great things and yess, the outfits look great! I know I'll have major dress envy while watching. :)
    Have a great week!
