So as you all know yesterday was my first day of class. I had such a great and inspiring day. I started the day with a big breakfast to make the knots in my stomach subside. I always get nervous on the first "day" of anything..no matter what it is.  I only had two classes yesterday which is pretty much my schedule three days a week. I remember sitting in class and just thinking to myself, "Wow, I can't believe I'm here right now." I made a promise to myself, and I am following through with it, and that feels amazing.

Today I have work, so it's definitely a different pace, but I already can't wait till Wednesday, I am already thinking about my classes and what we're going to learn. Being around so many people who love the same thing is a very strange feeling. I think what's really cool about it, is the fact that everyone is so unique, even though we're all there for the same underlying reason. Not one person on that campus looks like anyone else, everyone has their own style, and look to them, and I find that so interesting. I had a few breaks throughout the day which I ended up spending outside having a snack or just listening to music. Most of this time was also spent people watching. The city is great for that, so many different people infused in one place, it never gets old.

Anyway, that's all I have to report, I slept like a rock last night since I didn't sleep much the night before. I have to get used to this whole commuting thing again too, that part I could do without, but I am hoping to move at some point during the year and be closer to the city. Hope you guys are having a good week so far!

  2. Yesterday was my first day of my second year at grad school. I always get a little nervous too, but once I sat down I was more at ease. I commute from Westchester to the city three times a week and it starts to become so bothersome. As the semester goes on, I'm just like, "I want to be at school/home already!" lol!

    Cute first day outfit!

  3. Good luck this semester! What is your major? I don't know if you've already mentioned it... I'm a new reader. I always get nervous at the beginning of something too! It's all the "unknown". But you look like a babe! Love the elbow patches on the sweater.

  23. Hello there, I just wanted to say congratulations on your new course. I'm starting a new course myself in a few weeks (haven't quite blogged about it yet, never know how much to share...) and so I'm sharing your excitement and relief and pride and joy at finally doing something you've wanted to do for ages! Best of luck!
