Rompin' Around

Details: Vintage Floral Romper- Courtesy of Superstition Vintage // Belt- Urban Outfitters // Darla Sandals- Courtesy of BAIT // Glasses- RayBan // Rings- Courtesy of INPINK & Boutique // Fedora-F21

I know I say this every post but this outfit is probably one of my favorites. I haven't had a romper in forever, and when Adrian offered me a chance to pick out something from her shop, I knew I had to have this. I can't explain how comfortable it really is. You guys should really check out her vintage shop, and her blog, she is awesome and super cute too! It's so funny how trends come back around after years of being "uncool." I remember my sister wearing neon jumpsuits in the 90's and then neon disappeared for a while. I am so glad it's back in action because I am in love with neon yellows & pinks, I tried to bring that out in the belt & the shoes...I couldn't help but pick up the Darla's from BAIT this month for that reason alone. What trends are you guys loving this summer?

It's funny because while taking these shots a small army of football players walked past me while I was alternating from tri-pod to posing. It was pretty embarassing but it didn't stop me, and even though there was a lot of pointing and laughing, I kinda got a kick out of it. I must say one of the things I look forward to with starting school is wearing whatever I want. Working in a hospital definitely limits my style, a whole lot. I enjoy expressing myself through my personal style, and when you can't really do that, it's definitely not fun. When most people see me outside of work they can't really believe that I look/act so different. I guess most of us do, right?

I am sooooo excited to start the next chapter in my life. I feel like I have grown so much in the past few months, and I am anxious to see where it all takes me. I don't think I have ever been so excited for anything, in my entire life. I am finally finding my place, and it feels damn good. Cheers to that! Happy Thursday!

  10. Hey Maria,
Do you take all of your photos yourself? I just picked up my Dad's old tripod and bought a remote for my camera, and I've been kind of nervous about going it solo! It's good to know I wouldn't be the only gal out looking silly running around and trying to stay in the frame!

Any tips for keeping the photos looking natural, especially for shots of shoes and the like?

    1. Hi Erin, thanks for your comment. I do take mostly 95% of the photos myself (sometimes I get outside help) and what I would suggest to you is to take some test shots and see what you like. I think the lens also makes a HUGE difference, and also using natural light. I have a 50mm lens, and usually I try to take all my photos outside, so I think that's your best bet! good luck!

    2. Thanks for your response Maria!
I just bought my 50mm lens last weekend, and oh man, I don't think I've ever loved an inanimate object so much. Definitely a wise investment. Thanks for the tips, it's good to know it's possible to get great photos on your own, your pictures always look so lovely and fun!
