A Golden Afternoon

Details: Dress/f21 , Necklace/Vintage, Boots/COACH, Rings/Vintage, Glasses- RayBan Wayfarers, Handbag/Rebecca Minkoff Morning After Bag(similar here)

Friday was our first day spent in the city and it was sooooo disgusting out (cue the sweaty pictures) so Amy and I actually had to make a pit stop and buy new dresses at the Forever 21 in Times Square. Our first day was spent seeing the Statue of Liberty and some other fun parts of New York City(The Village,Times Square,Soho). We met Alex for dinner at Boqueria, and walked around afterwards buzzed off sangria and full on tapas. The only thing I would have changed about the whole weekend is how sticky it was. It was humid, and uncomfortable, but the company was well worth all of that :) I wish I could share all of the pictures in one post, but in an effort to not overwhelm you, I decided to space them out!

I have been so out of it all week, and it honestly doesn't even feel like it's Thursday. Having a few days off definitely confused my brain a little, and my schedule has been way off. I miss being able to bounce back from long weekends, and being able to go out on nights when I had something to do early the next day. The older I get, the harder that seems to be, and it can be so frustrating, but I guess that's life right? Haha. I sound ancient! I can't stop thinking about going to school, and how drastically my life will change. When we spent this past weekend in the city, all I could think about was how this was going to be my life pretty soon. Something I have dreamed about since I was a little girl will finally be my life. I finally feel like I am in complete control of everything that's happening, and having that control is the best feeling in the whole world.

  2. I know what you mean abut having complete control being the best feeling ever...I'm in a situation right now where all the results are out of my hands and it's kind of torture! And look at that large green ring! I haven't seen anything like that!

  16. Yeah, the older I get the harder it is to "bounce back" as well. Blah. Aside from yucky, sticky heat, these pictures are adorable. Seeing you standing next to someone made me realize how tiny you are! :) I mean that with absolute niceness haha I get told I'm "fun size" or "bite size" all the time, so don't think I'm poking fun.
Anywho, I'm excited for your fashion school dreams to be coming true. That is super duper amazing!

  17. I'm so jealous of your NYC weekend!! :( Though I know how miserable it can be there when it's hot! I went a couple years ago in September, thinking it would be cooling off and approaching fall there then, but it was muggy and gross and miserable. No bueno!
