Beneath This Bold & Brilliant Sun

Another weekend come and gone, and this one seems to stick out more in my mind. I was pretty busy, had some pretty important decisions to make, and I got to finally have some time to tackle the things that I have been putting off. This online class I'm taking is pretty involved, so every day I have a lot of homework and time to put in, it's definitely more than I expected, but I guess that's what you get for a 3-week intensive course.

This weekend my nephews turned four years old! We had a little party for them on Saturday equipped with Spiderman balloons, lots of good food, and of course some Batman toys. I can't believe how fast the past four years have gone..I started to think about how different things are since they came into my life, and honestly I don't even remember what it was like before them. Probably pretty boring. They're so funny, and full of life, anytime I'm in a horrible mood they just take it away instantly by smiling and loving me.

Sunday was our annual AC trip with some of the people I work with from the bar. I think it's something I have mentioned on here before, but if you don't know, my parents own a restaurant and bar that I work at on Sundays for football. Our bar family has grown over the past 14 years to be something so amazing. Some of these people I have known most of my adult life, and they are like family to me. Although I don't get to see them very often, it's always really nice to catch up, and we all know each other so well so it's always fun. We went to AC for the day on a big bus, filled with sandwiches and some cocktails, and we spent the day down there trying to win millions on the slots(that was just me I guess). I learned how to play blackjack, and I also got some bonding time in with my Dad, it was really fun. Hope you guys had a great weekend! xo

  3. Nieces and nephews are the funnest things ever. My husband has a couple, and my cousins are young enough to be my nieces and nephews - they are just so awesome to hang out with! There is something so refreshingly wonderful about the way a child looks at the world!

  4. I'm glad you had a great weekend (even if you had homework to do!). I love kids parties, my sisters are just at the age where they want more grown up parties, and I've turned back into a kid and want balloons and pin the tail on the donkey!

    Have a great week,

    Love, Lauren. xox

  16. Those shoes!! Amazing!

And it's crazy how quickly time goes by, isn't it? Especially when you're watching a little one grow...that seems to make time fly by even faster. But it's so fun to see nephews grow up and learn new things everyday ;)
