Happy Thursday everyone! Can't believe it's almost the end of another
week. This is another installment of Vintage Modern Mix with Jigsaw London.
This dress reminds me of a 50's housewife and the cut and long length
of the sleeves is a perfect pairing for this weather. We got some snow
yesterday which got my classes canceled again. I bundled up preparing
for the weather, got on the train and then received a text from my
friend saying they had just canceled classes. I quickly got off at the
following stop and had to take my cold butt back home on another train.
Better than going all the way into the city and coming back I suppose.
I snapped these photos yesterday when the snow first started coming
down, and it was so beautiful to look up into the sky and be covered in
little white sprinkles of snow. It was extremely bitter cold out today,
but there's something really peaceful about snow, that makes everything
seem like it's okay in the world. Everything is all white, and
untouched, and the world seems quiet for a little while.
Not much is new around here. I have been
trying really hard to kick this cold, and it seems like the tons of
sleep I have been getting isn't really helping much. It's nice that things are going back to normal but I have a feeling the next month or so is going to be intensely busy. I have a lot of school work that needs to get done and I can't seem to find the initiative to start any of it.
I'm better under pressure anyway :) Hope you are all staying warm out
there.I'm dreaming of a warm beach and a fruity drink in my hand.

I loveeeeeeeee your loafers!!! The color is adorable!! And you look adorbs in your 50's inspired dress of course!
ReplyDeleteYour ring is so pretty! Your dress does look a lot like a 50s housewife type of dress but you make it look very nice. I am glad our snowfall wasn't too bad as they made it seem to be!!

That dress is darling!! The snow is so pretty. We haven't gotten any yet, but I am ready for some! I hate the cold..but snow makes it worth it.
ReplyDeleteStill waiting on snow here in Michigan.. Whenever the first snow comes it always brings me back to my childhood! I remember when I was in 1st grade and the first snow came, all the children gathered around the window and watched in wonder! So to me, the first snow always feels magical! :)
ReplyDeleteSide note: I am in love with your penny loafers!
