Happy Monday everybody! I am
excited today to debut a series of posts that I will be sharing
throughout the next week or so. I have teamed up with Jigsaw London
to mix some modern pieces with some of my favorite vintage accessories
and clothing. Since these shoes make me feel like a fancy lady, I wanted
to share them first. I love the classic Mary Jane style of these heels, and I absolutely love the curvature of the heel in the back, it's unlike any other pair of shoes I own.
When I got this dress in the mail from Sugarlips
I knew immediately that I wanted to pair it with some knee highs. I
almost felt like a little school girl in uniform while wearing this,
especially because the colors are all very bold and bright. Mustard,
navy, and burgundy are three of my favorite colors, especially to wear
in the fall. I can't say I have ever worn them all in an outfit before,
but I really love how they all compliment each other. You also might
notice that my hair is straight in these photos, it's pretty crazy that I
never wear it this way anymore. I've gotten really used to curling it,
and wearing it more naturally, so straight only happens on special
occasions.
The vintage pieces I incorporated into this outfit are the accessories.
As you guys know I love my cat eye frames. This vintage pair is a
tortoise shell color with little tiny embellishments that make them unique.
The rings are also vintage, both over 30 years old, and they both belong
to my Mom. She also has a love for vintage, and is the reason I started
to love it so much in the first place. We both love jewelry, and
especially old jewelry with history. The ring on the left is an
anniversary gift my Dad bought for her when they were first married, I love the simplicity of it, and how unique the setting is.
I hope you guys had a great weekend, mine was busy as always, but I spent it with some friends, and had amazing food. October is always one my favorite months. There are so many fun things to look forward to, and now that fall is in full swing, I am ready for some hot cocoa, comfy hoodies and being all bundled up. I also can't wait for Halloween, I just ordered my costume this past week, and it's so fun! You all probably know my secret (not so secret) Katy Perry obsession, and I decided that I wanted to be her "candy girl" version this year. I find it exciting that you can dress up and pretend to be someone else for one night. There's something really liberating about that. Purple wig time! I am going to dance till I can't move!
This week is going to be spent mostly studying for midterms and writing a lot of papers, not very exciting. The more work I put in, the sooner I will get to Christmas break(a month off, whaaaaat), so right now, I feel pretty focused. I hope you guys have a great Monday, and don't forget to keep that smile on, it's a new day!

Your dress is just so cute! I love the color. It's definitely perfect for fall. And those knee highs pair with it perfectly. The detail of the curved heel on your mary janes is fantastic too. It's those little things that make such a big difference in a piece.
