What Dreams Are Made Of

Details: Skinny Jeans/H&M , Crop Top/Urban Outfitters , Boots/Bakers, Glasses/RayBan

I got caught in the fog today. The type of fog that creeps out as soon as the rain settles down. Wednesdays tend to be my longer days because I don't get home until usually after 10pm. Most of the morning is usually spent catching up on some things, and sleeping in..it's one of my only sleep in days all week! I am still trying to get used to the idea of doing homework, and working so it's a weird combination, but I really love what I'm doing, so it's worth the time, and exhaustion that's being put in.

Right now the class I am having the worst time with is retail math. There are so many formulas to memorize, and everything seems to look the same to me. I am hoping that if I sit my butt down and study a lot more, it'll get easier. Other then that my classes are really interesting, and pretty awesome. I am starting to plan for an internship next semester which hopefully will be the one I have been pining over (cross your fingers). The crazy thing about an associates degree is that it's over so fast, you start classes and then before you know it you're planning for graduation. It's super intense. I guess that's better than going back to school another four years though.

While I was in the city yesterday I felt a burst of energy following my usual walk to campus, and I started thinking about all of the things that are making me happy lately. Sometimes I need to have tiny moments like this to remember how good things are, and I definitely don't do this enough. Like most people, I sometimes let the negative take over, and I forget how blessed I am. I am following my dreams, and I feel like for once in my life I am exactly where I need to be.

  1. The fog in these photos is gorgeous! I know what you mean about getting stuck in the negative. I am a fairly positive person but sometimes I have those "woe is me" days and I have to pull myself out and remind myself that life is pretty easy. And pretty good.

  14. Work/life balance (and in our case, add another / for blogging) is a difficult thing to figure out and sometimes you never really perfect it (or is that just me?). However, in your case we add another / for school too! You're a busy, busy little bee? Hope all is going well and continues to go well for you in school!

Now for the outfit - what a great edgy look! Those boots are something fierce! :)

    xoxo, Stephanie :)

  16. Well, I don't know anything about retail figures, but my mental arithmetic has always been frustratingly slow. I try and get better at it by practising at every opportunity: when I'm buying groceries or playing cards, I'm always trying to add things up in my head and deduct discounts without resorting to the calculator on my phone. Practice makes perfect, right? So next time you're out shopping (not that it sounds like you have much free time right now!) maybe try out some of the equations? If there's lots to memorise maybe pick one a day or one a week (depending how quickly you need to learn them) and just try it in a few different places.

Sorry, I hope you don't think I'm being patronising, it was just an old study tip that popped into my head while reading your post!
