Hi guys! Happy Thursday. Can't believe we're already in the second week of August, and time is flying by quicker than ever. I am excited for summer to be over only because I can't stop thinking about fall, layering and leaves falling. There's a certain time of year that's my favorite and I even though I am not a huge fan of the winter, I absolutely love the fall. September through December is the ideal time for fall fashion and perfect temperatures. Once January hits I curl up in a little ball and I never want to do anything!
Although most people try to tell me that I always wear black, I do like to add some color to my wardrobe, especially in the summer. I love these wedges because they're not too flashy, and add some kick to any "plain" outfit. It's also good for me since I am usually in dark colors because with a slip of the shoe, suddenly the outfit is transformed. Most of you probably noticed that I am not wearing my usual Raybans in this post. These cat eye frames are a vintage pair from the 1950's that were sent to me by the lovely folks over at the Vintage Optical Shop. I always wanted a pair of vintage frames but never found the right pair that I really loved. This pair is absolutely gorgeous, and I love the gold detailing on the sides. I played around with some other styles before I decided this was the right pair for me, however there are a few that I really fell in love with. Here are some of my favorites: one.two.three.four. The company is great and easy to work with, when one pair didn't work they quickly sent me another to try out. I highly suggest checking out their inventory, and if you're in the market for vintage frames, this is definitely a great place to peek.
Do you have anything planned for the weekend? I have this weekend off and I can't wait to spend some time with my friends and family, we're also celebrating the second birthday of one of my nephews. Hopefully it'll be a good one!
You look great! I'm probably not doing anything haha. But I'm going to register myself for university tomorrow! Exciting :)

I find cat-eye frames can make some people look harsh but not you! You look really, truly fantastic in those glasses.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the bag and shoes are lovely. Its nice that you do detail shots and the accessories alone, it adds to the story and gives us readers a chance to really appreciate what nice pieces they are.

Those shoes, that bag, those glasses!!! ♥ You look lovely. And don't apologize, you look great in black!
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way with seasons. Fall has been my favorite all my life; in fact I despised summer. But living here in Jersey (aka the arctic) I enjoy the summers in ways I never have and always hope they last even a few days longer every year. The winter just seems to drag on here, so when my beloved fall comes I get sort of sad because I know winter's about to come along and fuck shit up. haha
P.s. I'm having my first giveaway if you'd like to enter to win some pretty things! :)
I adore those shoes!!!

ReplyDeleteI don't know why but I always wear flats although I tend to like heels more, maybe it's because I can't really walk in heels *blush* :D

Lovely ring. The color of your shoes is such that'll go well with subdued colors perfectly. Love the bag.
ReplyDeleteI love those glasses! Fall here is weird, I suppose all California weather is weird. It's just always so mild. Except recently, it being 107 consistently hasn't been fun. But Winter here is amazing. It's like how Fall is supposed to be. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this whole ensemble! Those frames are great! And I really love those shoes and bag together, they're such pretty colors.
