To Live Doesn't Mean You're Alive.

Details: Top/Courtesy of Sugarlips Apparel , Skirt/Urban Outfitters, Boots/Courtesy of Blowfish , Glasses/RayBan, Rings/Vanessa Mooney & Vintage

The past week in NJ has been extremely all over the place. It got down to the 60's a few days with some scattered rain which means a light jacket was needed, no complaints here! I love being able to pair a long sleeve shirt with a skirt because in case it gets cold, I feel more prepared. This shirt is definitely the most interesting cut I have ever owned. I love cut out sleeves this season and the back detailing is just perfect. I have been collaborating with Sugarlips for a few weeks now and  I really love how they include bloggers into their modeling shots on the website. You can see me wearing this another dress from them, here. I think seeing clothing on women of all different shapes and sizes can definitely help aid in choices about what to buy. It's completely realistic, and I think it makes it so much more personal for the buyer.

Lately I have been thinking about my personal style, and how much it has changed over the past two years of having this blog. I really love the inspiration I have gotten from other bloggers, different companies, and all of the social networking sites geared towards fashion. I find myself more comfortable in my own skin, picking out things I wouldn't normally pick, and making them work. If you had asked me a few years ago if I thought I'd be wearing 5 inch platforms, or wedges with spikes on them, I probably would think you were crazy. I went from rarely wearing heels, to loving some of the highest heels.  The evolution we all go through in our style choices is pretty fascinating and I can't wait to look back in a few years and notice even more growth and change in my wardrobe.

  3. I think the evolution of each persons personal style is so interesting. Our taste change so much over even only a few years! I wish I still had all my photos from high school, I wore such ridiculous things. I think losing those photos was part of the push to start documenting these things online. I also love seeing how other bloggers with similar taste to mine style their pieces, there is so much great inspiration floating about.

I get a lot of inspiration from other bloggers too. I wish I could wear heels. They just hurt me too much so it's not possible!

and i totally know and agree with you about the evolution of personal style. i love that i now feel confident enough to take fashion risks and try new styles, something i was not comfortable doing until recently. blogging definitely plays a role in that. i get so inspired by other bloggers and images on tumblr/pinterest that it makes me feel confident enough to wear something different.
