Polka Dots & Lady Ties

This weather is absolutely crazy! You can't even really walk outside for more than a few minutes without feeling like you're going to pass out. Yesterday was high of 101, and today I think high of 95. Although I like hot weather, this may be a bit much. I had yesterday off which was a perfect day to get my hair done. That's pretty much why it's straight..I hardly ever wear it that way anymore because it's summer, and frizz is just unbearable.

I am looking forward to the weekend, spending time with friends and maybe enjoying the slightly cooler weather. Do you guys have any big plans? I know it's only Thursday but I always find that my mind is two steps ahead...I hate that sometimes I feel like I lose out on the moment because I am  living in the future, but the future excites me. It's full of so many endless possibilities, and that's what makes me find comfort on the tough days. School is probably the only thing on my mind right now. I am ready for this next chapter. Starting a new career is scarier than I ever thought it would be. You put time and dedication into something, and it's not always going to work out. I have come this far and there is no way I am stopping now, so no matter what I can't look back. In this moment I just have to believe that everything is happening as it should and one day I will find the answers through living them.

  6. I love your bow tie Maria :)
I sometimes suffer from the same syndrom of living in the future instead of now!

  7. Dear Maria, I love this dress on you. And how you added a lady tie. It's so cute and so you! I think it's great you think about the future. I'm the dreaded BE VERY REALISTIC DONT THINK TOO FAR IN ADVANCE type of person. I lose out on opportunities because I'm afraid to take risks and it sounds like you aren't at all. Only great opportunities and amazing learning experiences can come to you when you have your kind of mindset. <3

  10. I'm excited to hear about your journey through school. I can't wait to go back to school to get my masters. I just don't know what exactly I want to go back for! I hate this feeling!! I've always been a HUGE planner and I had my future plans mapped out, but now I feel so lost! I guess taking time off before making a huge decision is probably what's best. Have you always known what you wanted to go to school for?

Also, my hair gets extremely frizzy. I tie it up in a cute scarf. =)
