Lady Liberty

 Details: Dress/Lulu's , Belt/Aldo, Boots/Coach, Necklace/Vintage, Purse/Rebecca Minkoff

I have worn this exact outfit on the blog before(minus the accessories) and I can truly say it's one of those dresses that fits just right. You know when you have one item of clothing that just makes you feel pretty? This dress makes me feel that way. It's one of those feel good outfits that just makes me happy. I love lace, and I love my riding boots, it seems like a perfect combination to me! It's not really the perfect combination for the hot and sweaty weather that accompanies a ferry ride in 90 degree heat. This was the dress I ended up changing out of that day, but it's still my favorite regardless!

Amy and I took the ferry with about 200 highschool kids, and got surrounded by jansport backpacks, parents with snacks, "mom pants" and even this little kid with a rat tail. All in all it was a successful ferry trip. The ferry docks on Ellis Island, and then goes on to dock at the statue. The whole thing took about 4 hours, and once it was over, we were ready to be back on land. The statue looked great, but there was a lot of construction going on, so it wasn't as enjoyable to look at. Amy posted about this yesterday, you can read it here. Hope you guys have a great weekend! I had to do a double take when I realized it was June, and of course I feel like time is escaping, per usual. Take a peek to the right hand side of this window and check out some of the new sponsors! I have a great lineup this month, and I am so excited about it! Have a great day everyone!

  17. What a beautiful dress indeed!! I'd wear it all the time, too, not even changing a thing. I love those dresses that don't need tights or cardigans added to them - they're just perfect alone. And this is random, but I love the shoulders and sleeves. You look all around awesome and the ferry ride sounded dreadful! LOL I just don't do heat very well. At least you don't look like a sweaty mess ;) I still need to get around to visiting Lady Liberty, but now that I know it takes 4 hours, I might just pass. I mean, I have ridden ferries near her and taken pics and stuff. That's good enough for me. :)
    Have a lovely weekend!
