A Visit To NYC.

Hey Mom cut it out, we know you're cute

Just some snapshots of visiting the FIT campus two days ago, we had such a great day. Most of the day was taken up by the counselors talking about the programs and people asking questions about their major. I was really excited to hear that it's pretty possible to work, and go to school full time. I wasn't sure if I was going to have to take classes every day but it sounds like their classes only run once a week so if I can get them all on the same days, I should be good to go.

The campus was filled with people sitting outside, eating, and doing work on the benches. I really loved the surrounding area of the campus, and it was a great place to just soak everything in. It was also really inspiring to see everyone dressed so fancy, but look like they weren't trying at all. For once I finally felt like I was meant to be somewhere, and it all felt right. I can't explain how excited I am for this new chapter in my life. I usually have a hard time adjusting to change but I believe that deep down I really needed this. It's like I am finally seeing the light for the first time, in years.

I think what really caught me off guard was the fact that through this whole experience I realized that I am capable of anything. I can make plans, and follow through with them. It's not impossible, and once you spring into action, the world is at your fingertips. Sometimes it takes a defining moment like that to put everything into perspective.

  8. Thanks for the comment on my blog! I'd never been to yours, but now that I've been here and looked around, I think I'll probably be back regularly. :) Are you looking at FIT for some kind of graduate/professional program? I actually just finished my graduate school search and will be attending Rutgers in the fall! Anyway, thanks again for the comment on my blog and I look forward to reading more from you. :)
