One of my favorite things to do once the nice weather hits is to take pictures in a local park near my house. This park is usually deserted, because it's almost like a hidden secret around here. It's stuck right in the middle of a neighborhood and unless you know it's there, you could easily miss it. The weather was perfect so I came home from work and knew I needed to go out and take pictures in the park. Sometimes the only way for me to get over a stressful day is to take pictures for hours and then spend the night editing them while watching some of my favorite t.v shows.

Of course as soon as I got to the park last night my tripod decided to break. The screw that connects the clip that holds the camera came out, and the whole area beneath it is stripped. So, that's that! I cut up my hands trying to fix it, but it wasn't happening. I already ordered a new one because I know I won't be able to last without it! It's crazy to look back a year and realize that blogging wasn't a huge part of my life, whereas now I can't imagine not having it. I guess it isn't just blogging, it's starting a business, meeting people through blogging, and fulfilling dreams I didn't even know I had. Sometimes you don't know what you're capable of, or what you can accomplish until you're faced with different situations and different ideas.

As the seasons shift and the months pass I feel myself changing. I feel myself growing and realizing things, or understanding the things I already know, better. Every single thing we all go through is a beautiful learning experience and even the bad times, help in the long run. Every little bit creates a stronger person at the end of the day, and that's something that makes even the hard times worth it.

  6. Ahh, that stinks, I'd be so mad if it broke halfway through my picture-taking. Hopefully it'll come in the mail quickly.

My parents live in the woods, so I love just walking through there and sitting in the peace whenever I visit from the city. It's such a nice break (and runaway). I love that sweater, I have something similar and really should wear the crap out of it before it gets too warm :P

  17. Good for you! So many people complain about their job and wish they were doing something different but never do anything to change their situation. Only we have the power to change our situation and, while it might be really hard sometimes, it’s SO rewarding and fun and makes us stronger  I love your photos, especially the last one, the light is awesome, Niki x
