Irene came and left

As you all know "Irene" rocked the east coast this weekend. Luckily it wasn't as bad as it could have been and we're all safe and well. These pictures were taken Saturday mid day. Around Saturday night is when things went bad...Our basement flooded about four & 1/2  feet, and we lost a lot of meaningful items, but at the end of the day...they are just *things*. I am happy that everything is starting to go back to normal, and hopefully everything that was damaged on the east coast will soon be repaired...Hope you all had a great weekend! My cousin celebrated her 30th birthday this weekend, and unfortunately our plans were foiled, but we made up for it with mojitos & a lot of Greek food! For everyone who sent the very sweet and thoughtful tweets, thank you for checking in- all is well! Regular programming on the blog will resume tomorrow with a new outfit post!

  6. I'm glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been, still sad that you lost some things and that your basement flooded. :( BUT I like how you are taking it in stride. Glad you are ok.

  7. It was definitely an excuse for many of us to just pig out but I can't really believe what this storm did to Vermont. Very unexpected.

  9. hah! love these photos!

Irene wasn't much more than a super-windy storm in center city philly (although, I think the suburbs got hit a little more)

LOVE your blog by the way! your style is so cute!
