"I have always loved to paint and have always thought watercolor washes were beautiful. A while back I did a couple of state paintings to hang in my apartment and shortly after, Hurricane Sandy hit the east coast! The lovely Maria left a comment on my blog suggesting that I make some to sell for the relief effort! I knew that there was no way I could make it out there to volunteer for the cleanup but I wanted to do something! And thus, The Lovely Little Day Shop was born. 

Since then I have been painting the State Pride Series and donating half the proceeds to the American Red Cross for disaster relief! I have always been passionate about helping others and it seemed like the perfect way to combine my two passions: painting and people. In the next couple of weeks there will be a lot of new things showing up in the shop too! I am expanding the subject matter of my watercolor wash paintings and taking custom orders! Keep an eye out for initials, maps, animals, quotes, and other fun things!"
