It came and left.

Christmas is over, I can't really believe it. The past few weeks have flown by, so many things to do...so much stress to get everything done, and it's all done now. The past few weeks have been spent doing things with family, spending time with friends... and working like crazy to get everything done in time at the hospital for the kids. It's my first Christmas working as a Child Life Specialist in a hospital, and I must say it made me feel extremely blessed to have my health. Seeing all of the children who are very sick have to spend these special days in the hospital broke my heart, but all I can do is hope that I provided little glimpses of happiness by making the hospital "feel like home" as much as possible. I have said this before and I truly believe it...presents don't mean much, it's more about spending quality time together and enjoying each other. Another year has gone by and I truly feel blessed to have such sweet people in my life. Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas, and let's make this new year the best one ever! I will be posting more photos from Christmas later this week, but for now here are some

Finally did the bokeh! So excited I got Alex a 50mm :)

  3. Wow, you are amazing. If I could work at a hospital helping kids out, I think my life would be set. Sometimes kids need people like us to make their day, somebody who in reality sees the real joys of life and not the material aspect of it. I am glad you have a very good Christmas, even if it went by fast, and I hope you have an even more wonderful time on New Years!
