Finding Your Passion.

I started blogging about a year ago and never thought it would turn out to be such a big part of my life. I'm sure some people from the outside probably don't understand why bloggers do what they do, why we take the time to write out posts every week, why we continue to take up their news feed with our updates, or why we even bother to "put it all out there." I will tell you why...or at least why I personally, do it. There is something absolutely amazing about bonding with other people over things you love. I have met so many talented people through blogging, people I wouldn't normally ever have been in contact with. I have built relationships on interests, and common goals with other bloggers. I know this may sound weird to some, and most people probably don't understand how you can just become close with people you may never meet in person..It's a community, and it's an understanding of inspiring others and motivating them..When I get home after a long day of work, I don't dread getting on the computer and posting, or editing photos..It's the one thing in my life I actually enjoy putting time into, it's become a very big part of my day to day, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Blogging has taught me self discipline, it has helped me find my creative passions, and follow through with them, rather than think they are not attainable. A career in fashion was never an option for me, I thought it would be something that I did as a hobby, and now I am really considering changing my life professionally, for the long run. In a way my blog has been my ladder..When I started I didn't know where it was going, I was inspired by bloggers like Bleubird, and Elsie to follow my passion, and to just put it out there...my thought was if people like it- great...if not , that's fine too, it'll be a creative outlet.
It's become so much more than that...It's opened up many doors of opportunity, and it has clearly impacted my life for the better. I joke about this, but it's true, my blog is my baby. I watched it grow from being teeny tiny, with the worst editing in my photos...to my little masterpiece..and I am proud of that. I've gotten the chance to work with some great and interesting people, some that I have even met in person...and that to me has made all the difference. I feel very grateful to have this creative outlet, and to be able to share that with other people who have similar ideas/goals. It's so nice to have something tangible to hold onto...something that makes all the time and energy, worth it. I remember hearing the quote "find something you love to do and you'll never have to work a day in your life" and it's completely true. It's been a long process, and I'm not fully there yet, but at least I have something to grasp onto, that will eventually shape my dreams and hopes into a reality.
