Water For Elephants

After seeing this movie I could not wait to blog about how beautiful it is. I absolutely fell in love with Reese Whitherspoon's character and portrayal in this breathtaking prohibitionary tale about love, and lost love through the struggles of a traveling circus. I won't go into details regarding the movie because I am sure most of you have not seen it yet. If you have not, I suggest you do; it's nothing short of amazing. As I stated before the film takes place during the prohibition which was around the 1930's. Her style in the movie is one of the things I could not stop thinking about while watching. Although I could not find many photos of her in the movie, I tried my best to find ones that give you(the reader) a small glimpse of her wardrobe/style. The colors used in the ensembles that were worn along with the beautiful pin curls and finger waves left me in awe. I will not ruin it- as I said you must see it for yourself to see the true beauty of it!

  14. I can't wait to see this, just so see how it looks! I haven't really heard the greatest things about the book, but the film looks stunning. I did circus as a kid, so this is top of the list for films to see ;)

  15. I haven't read the book. I am a big Robert Pattinson fan. Not because of Twilight because I actually think Twilight is a bad role for him, but in everything else, I think he has great acting ability. I kinda want to see this movie, kinda don't. I do because it looks beautiful. I love that time in history, and the actors. I don't because I am not a big fan of stories where there is infidelity in a marriage relationship. Just a personal opinion there. ha. I will more than likely end up seeing it though. Awesome review. :)

  16. Robert Pattison has some sexy buns and I think Reese Witherspoon is adorable...(and I think she's my age so that gives hope to old ladies everywhere that they too can have a dude with young sexy buns).
I got the Vogue with the images from this movie. Was it shot by Annie Lebowitz? I can't remember...anyways, Reese's interview was amazing and I definitely will be watching this one.

  19. Ooh thank you for this! I think I will have to make a date with my husband today!! 1930's vintage fashion is one of my favorites, so this movie will definitely quench my thirst haha. It looks/sounds great. Have you read the book? I haven't, but been meaning to. Next on my list!

    I miss ya!

  20. Holy shit you're popular! Anywho...the 4th pic was my FAVORITE outfit! The man pants that are baggy up top & tighten around the calves so she can wear boots! & her scarf. Perfect. Also, Robert Pattinson in his suspenders was gorgeous. Yeah, I'm a nerd! ;)
