Father's Day with Snapfish & A Giveaway!

On the eve of my wedding day, I couldn't be happier to be writing this post about my Dad. Although Father's Day is a few weeks away, I couldn't wait to give my Dad his gifts this year. In my household, family is everything. Us Greeks take family time very seriously and we are all very connected and intertwined in each other's lives. Personalized gifts go a long way, so of course I knew I wanted to make something fun, and personal for my Dad to have as a keepsake. 

I've gone through all kinds of emotions this week. From happiness, to tears in mere minutes and my Dad has seen me through it all. When I think about the type of family I want to create, my own personal family is what sticks out in my mind. I love the idea of bigger families who stay close and do everything together- and that will remain a constant in my life in the future. 

My Dad has always shown us that family is everything. For that, I will be forever grateful. He has worked hard, accomplished so many things, and has never given up his sense of culture. I think that I love most about my Dad is how he has sacrificed everything, to be the best husband and father. Whether that meant working 20 hour days, or taking risks to become successful, he has truly done it all. I can't think of another man who inspires me the way my Dad does. Not only does he inspire me, but he also believes in everything I do. He pushes me to follow my dreams, and not be afraid to fail. He motivates me to work harder, and be a better person.

So on the eve of my wedding, I can simply say this. It will be an honor to have the father/daughter dance, but I truly cannot wait to have my Dad walking me down the aisle towards my future husband, welcoming our new lives together.

Memorial Day Weekend Essentials with Nestlé® Drumstick® S’mores

Sundress Life

Hey guys! Happy Tuesday! Unfortunately I am back from South Carolina, which means back to normal weather and normal life. I got to spend some quality time with one of my best friends and two new friends on a remote island by the name of Daufuskie, which is right in the middle of South Carolina and Savannah. It was so great to get away for a few days, and really try to relax. We drove golf carts everywhere, got to eat some southern cooking, and got to meet some of the locals, which included a lot of animals (we're talkin' alligators, raccoons, deer and black faced squirrels). My one regret is not bringing my camera with me to document it, but if you follow me on snapchat, I'm sure you got more than enough of it! (@littletreemaria- follow along for some fun sing alongs and silly accents).

I have been so obsessed with flowers this season. I stop at the flower shop at least once a week to pick up some blooms for the house, I feel like they make every room look and smell so much better. It's completely worth it to spoil yourself sometimes, am I right? Peonies are finally in season, and of course like every other blogger, I LOVE THEM. Peonies are the main flowers in our wedding bouquets so I am really excited that they're in season just in time for us to use them.

Less than three weeks till the wedding so I am a busy woman- but trying to enjoy the last few things on my to-do list before the big day is here. I am pretty excited that some of my family is flying in from overseas, and excited to have all of our friends under one roof, all celebrating with us. It can't come soon enough!

May Showers Bring June Flowers?

Hey everyone, and Happy Monday! Today is the first day in over a week that New Jersey hasn't had a spot of rain. I almost had no hope that it would clear up any time soon, but I was happy to wake up with the sun shining brightly above. Although it's starting to disappear now, I will take clouds over rain any day. 

I cannot believe that in less than 4 weeks I will be a married woman! It all seems so crazy and quick, but I can't wait for the day to arrive. I have been busy planning, and ordering things, and trying to make sure that all my ducks are in a row before the big day. I have wanted to share little details of everything but I am waiting for a full re-cap after the wedding is through- as to not ruin any surprises! I am excited for the day, and excited to see how everything I envisioned will play out in real life. It's hard to picture things without having them in front of you- but I feel like I have done a pretty good job at making sure I pay attention to every detail that is important to me. 

I hope all of you are having a great Spring, and I am sure I speak for all of us when I say that Summer needs to hurry up and get here already!
